David Jones has taken another step in its sustainability journey, partnering with Australian fashion rental service GlamCorner.
The partnership sees David Jones launch its own rental hub on both the GlamCorner website and in its Elizabeth St flagship store.
Speaking on the initiative, David Jones said that the partnership gives customers new ways to access designer clothing.
"The David Jones x GlamCorner service represents an important step towards a circular fashion economy by increasing the lifespan and reducing the volume of clothing purchased for one-off occasions, while introducing a new way for customers to access designer clothing.
"We look forward to working with the team at GlamCorner on this initiative," the business said.
GlamCorner added that renting a wardrobe helps to reduce the impact of unused clothing.
"We are excited to announce a partnership between GlamCorner and David Jones to bring you a one stop destination for an exciting and sustainable way to shop.
"Rent hundreds of styles from leading Australian and international designers.
"By renting your wardrobe you are supporting the circular fashion economy and helping to reduce the environmental impact of unused clothing," the business said.
Designer labels available to rent in the David Jones x GlamCorner hub include Bec and Bridge, Rebecca Vallance and Shona Joy.
