Tuchuzy founder Daria Sakic has regained control over the business.

Sakic placed the designer retailer into voluntary administration last month, citing tough trading conditions.

“There’s been lots of sleepless nights," she said of the voluntary administration period.

"I feel responsible for the livelihood of my team but also wanting to be able to provide the signature style and quality that our customers and suppliers expect from Tuchuzy.

"It’s been a challenge for me as an entrepreneur, but it’s also been a learning experience.

"We know we have to continue to strengthen our operations and take the time to listen to our customers and suppliers to earn back their trust.

"Without the support of our customers, team and our suppliers, today could have been a very different type of announcement.”

She said the business is re-opening conversations with customers and suppliers.

"We know we need to earn back their trust and continue to prove why we can still be the home of Australian style.

"We are so thankful to everyone during this difficult time and will be reaching out over the coming weeks.

"In the meantime, we are focusing on learning from this difficult experience and how we can give back."

Tuchuzy has restructured to include more ready-to-wear pieces, homewares, brands, as well as a new initiative spotlighting makers and creators.

For the next eight weeks, Tuchuzy will support an art exhibition dedicated to Bondi Beach in its iconic Bondi store.

The collection, titled TIDAL, is curated by local Artist Amy Finlayson from The Fin Collection and features Amy Finlayson, Tanya Linney, Tim Swallow and more.
