Accent Group CEO Daniel Agostinelli has added a new role to his repertoire, jumping into the board of directors at Australian luxury platform Cettire as an independent non-executive director.

Agostinelli has over 30 years of retail experience, including over nine years as CEO at Accent Group, with prior leading roles at Ghetto Shoes and Sanity.

He has overseen both the retail and wholesale aspects of Accent, and was instrumental in growing accent from eight stores in 2006 to 850 stores today, as well as updating its digital portfolio in recent years.

Accent is the managing group of around 30 brands and retailers such as Hoka, The Athlete’s Foot, Platypus, and Glue Store.

The addition of Agostinelli comes as Cettire chair Bob East announced plans to retire from his role and the board, appointing current board member Steven Fisher as the leader of the board effective immediately.

Fisher is currently the chairman of the Reject Shop, with prior experience at Breville Group.

“We would like to sincerely thank Bob for his exceptional leadership and dedication to Cettire,” the Cettire board shared. “His guidance has been instrumental in navigating the business through its significant growth since 2020.

“We are excited to welcome Steven as our new Chair. Given his significant chair and non-executive director experience, he is well placed to lead the Board over the coming years.

“Additionally, we are thrilled to have Daniel join us as a new independent director, bringing his significant expertise in retail, e-commerce, and brand strategy, and wealth of industry experience to the board.”

For the first half of FY25, Cettire reported a 63 per cent fall in its net profit to $4.7 million, with the company citing continued uncertainty in the luxury goods market.

In the same time frame, Cettire’s sales revenue grew by 11 per cent to $394 million.
