Global footwear brand Crocs has opened its first global concept store in Melbourne.
The store is located at Melbourne Central Shopping Centre, and spans 72.1 square metres. It adds to an outlet store in Brisbane at Harbour Town Premium Outlets.
According to Crocs, the store will offer unique retail experiences, including a Jibbitz customisation station in the centre of the store. Jibbitz are add-on pieces to customise Crocs.
The store will officially open its doors to the public on Wednesday, April 9, and as part of the soft launch, the first 50 customers to make a purchase in-store will receive a Crocs gift bag including Jibbitz charms and sticker sheet.
Discount codes and giveaways will be available throughout April.
"The opening of our new store in Melbourne is a celebration of self-expression and creativity, with our beloved fans at the centre,” Crocs Asia senior vice president and GM Varun Sehgal said.
“We warmly invite one and all to Come As You Are, embracing individuality through our iconic Classic Clog and the power of personalisation led by Jibbitz. We’re excited to introduce consumers across Australia to our in-store shopping experience."
The opening of the new store in Australia adds to a nationwide wholesale arm, with Crocs stocked in hundreds of local retailers such as David Jones, Myer, Platypus and Universal Store.
Crocs is listed on the Nasdaq in the United States and is headquartered in Broomfield Colorado.
Global revenues for Crocs, including its sister brand HeyDude which is also rolling out in Australia, were US$4.1 billion (~A$6.82 billion).
The Crocs’ brand reported a 17 per cent increase in international revenues to US$1.4 billion.
Globally, the brand has 2,200 Crocs mono-brand doors, including approximately 1,800 partner doors and 390 owned and operated stores.
