Cotton On Group (COG) has appointed long-standing team member Steph Nolan to general manager of its new eco-conscious brand, Ceres Life.
Born in Ceres Victoria - close to COG's Geelong headquarters - the brand was launched in 2020 and creates clothing using organic and rescued fabrics.
As part of the founding team of the brand, Nolan takes the GM reins after seven years at COG across a range of roles.
According to COG, Nolan was instrumental in supporting Cotton On Body through a major growth phase, developing group-wide strategies and helped Factorie to build its future.
COG CEO Peter Johnson welcomed Nolan to her new role.
"Steph is a long-standing and much-loved part of the COG family and we’re thrilled to be able to support her in taking the next step in her career," he said.
Nolan praised the COG culture as she took up her new role.
"I love working at COG.
"I’ve worked with the most talented, down to earth and inspiring people.
"I love the learning culture we have and our commitment to people development.
"Being a fast-paced and customer driven business, there’s always exciting opportunities and challenges to throw yourself into," she said.
Under Nolan's leadership, Ceres Life will first build its wholesale and digital channels, before looking to expand into the retail space.
"Together our team will be focused on customer," Nolan said.
"We will build on the connection we have with our existing customer and listening and responding, always.
"We’ll continue to elevate The Good and when we’re ready, we will look to open our own stores," she said.
Meanwhile, internally Nolan will work to develop her team to drive strong growth and performance.
"Wellness and development will be a huge part of my leadership strategy, knowing that when the team are well and happy, they’ll perform at their best," Nolan added.
"Driving confidence in what each person brings to the table, and building great relationships with the people who inspire us to think differently is key," she said.
