The Cotton On Foundation is on a mission to raise $500,000 for the Red Cross' Queensland and New South Wales Flood Appeal.
According to the Centre for Disaster Philanthropy, more than 25,000 homes and businesses were flooded across Queensland and New South Wales during the extreme weather event.
Additionally, the Insurance Council reports that nearly 120,000 insurance claims have been filed across the two states, totalling approximately $1.77 billion.
To support recovery efforts, the Cotton On Foundation launched a dedicated fundraising campaign to support the Red Cross' efforts with its emergency, recovery and follow-up responses.
"It is estimated that 10 million Australians have been affected by the recent flooding and extreme weather events," Cotton On Group said in a statement.
"While we are doing everything to ensure our teammates and their families in these affected areas are safe and well, we want to do more.
"As an Australian business fostered in a tight-knit regional area, we knew we had to act.
"These funds will be used to help the Red Cross to provide vital humanitarian support to the people and communities affected by the floods," the business said.
The Cotton On Foundation's flood relief fundraising campaign began on March 11 and will run until March 27, in-store and online.
