Converse has partnered with three of its Australian 'All Stars' and make-up artist Rowi Singh to launch a new immersive space in Sydney's Surry Hills.

The All Stars, Daniella Ocean, Shen Osaki and Ibrahim Intwari, were invited to transform a blank space into an experiential pop-up space as part of Converse's CX Artist Series.

Under the mentorship of Singh, the All Stars worked together to bring together their different mediums - photography, visual storytelling, fashion and design - to create the space in just seven days.

Speaking on the project, Singh said she was proud to launch the space alongside the All Stars.

"It has been incredible to witness firsthand this unique initiative Converse has brought to life through both the All Star community and CX Artist Series.

"As a creative, I love collaborating with like-minded individuals to inspire my own creative process and so when the opportunity to mentor inspiring local artists arose, I embraced it.

"I'm beyond excited to welcome the public to the space and stand alongside the All Stars as they showcase their work," she said.

The space features two rooms that explore the journey of the creative process.

The first room conveys a sense of uncertainty and feelings of being lost and unsure.

Visitors will then move through to the next room, which is all about discovery through experimentation, and the final stage - actualisation.

All Star and photographer, Shen Osaki said the project broke the creative rut he was in.

"When I was approached by Converse to be one of the three artists featured in the series, I was overjoyed.

"Off the back of COVID, I found myself in a creative rut and so this opportunity presented itself at the perfect time.

"Having seven days to solely focus on this project with other artists was just what I needed to reignite my creativity and passion for my craft," he said.

Converse global partner markets VP of marketing Andres Kiger added that the brand was thrilled to provide a creative opportunity to its Aussie All Stars.

"As a brand that champions the creative spirit, we believe that if you don’t move, the creative process will never begin, making movement and comfort essential to the process.

"The comfort optimised Converse CX range allows artists to tackle any challenge while on their feet.

"Being able to support local artists, particularly at a time when their industry has been impacted by the pandemic, is what drives Converse.

"We want to help the next generation of youth in their creative careers through opportunities such as this CX Artist Series," he said.
