Mummy blogger Constance Hall has learned a tough lesson about gross margins.
The influencer, who owns her own fashion label, was forced to launch a clearance sale this week after her venture led to near bankruptcy.
In a post to followers on Facebook, Hall said she had not priced the products correctly.
"To be completely honest it’s because I made my products too cheap, this goes back to my need of being “liked” by everyone, it seemed sustainable and in the long run it wasn’t.
"Moving forward , if I can recover the company there will be a slight price rise on my products. It is what it is, I will still keep them as cheap as possible."
Her label includes clothing and accessories, with average price points at $39.99.
Yesterday, Hall confirmed the clearance sale had tracked well with enough revenue to rebuild the label.
"With just over 12 hours to go and I almost have half of the money I need to pay off all of Queen The Labels debt and get it back on track!
"I’m doing my best...so I can save this business."
