American outdoor-wear brand Columbia Sportswear will open its second Australian flagship store in Sydney CBD on August 17.
The new store will join the brand’s two other flagship stores in the Melbourne CBD, alongside another store at Eastland Shopping Centre in Melbourne's outer west.
Columbia Sportswear national retail manager Steven Gahdmar said the store concept in Sydney is the first-of-its-kind in the world, and will feature custom ceiling logo lights, a heritage wall showcasing the brand’s history, oversized multimedia displays and a new entry portal.
“We love opening new stores as it brings together fellow enthusiasts,” he said. “You’ll meet like-minded people, share stories, and perhaps discover hidden trails or secret fishing spots. It’s not just shopping; it’s connecting with a community that shares your passion and for me this is the reward.”
The new store in Sydney will be located on the corner of Park Street and George Street, and will include exclusive events, special releases, limited edition capsules and the brand’s core ranges.
Columbia Sportswear has been in Australia for over 20 years and is stocked in retailers such as Anaconda, BCF, outdoor independents and urban fashion stores.
