Australian-born Cleonie Swimwear has struck a partnership with global delivery provider FedEx to capitalise on Black Friday sales this year.
Cleonie founder and designer Kitty Scott said the recent move follows a doubling in sales year-over-year over the sales weekend since the brand first joined in Black Friday/Cyber Monday a few years ago.
Scott expects the partnership to improve delivery speed and order tracking, alongside inventory management, for local and international shoppers.
“We are expecting a boost to our sales during Black Friday 2024, which we believe will be helped by FedEx's extensive global reach and efficient delivery services,” Scott said.
“By partnering with FedEx, we've been able to reallocate funds previously spent on shipping costs with our old carrier to marketing and promotions for our Black Friday sale, allowing us to offer even more value to our customers.”
Scott added that Black Friday and Cyber Monday are the brand’s sole sale events of the year.
“We believe that frequent sales can compromise the sustainability ethos of our brand. BFCM is our way of giving back to our community by offering a limited-time discount,” she said.
“In addition to a site-wide discount for BFCM, we'll be offering exclusive deals for our VIP subscribers, such as a gift with purchase, collaborations with other brands for giveaways, and flash sales with even deeper discounts.
Cleonie Swim began shipping internationally in 2021, primarily to the United States. Since then, it has expanded its reach to include the United Kingdom, the Middle East, and Europe.
According to its website, the brand’s core crinkle swim range is all made in-house at its Central Coast headquarters. The beaded and crochet styles are made in Indonesia.
The brand sells predominately online, with around 28 stockists globally.
