Australian plus-size retailer City Chic has appointed James Plummer as the company’s chief financial officer, effective immediately.
Plummer has been serving as interim CFO at City Chic since October 2024, having joined the company in 2019 as general manager of finance and was promoted to deputy CFO in 2021.
James has 13 years of experience in domestic and international finance roles after spending ten years at Ernst & Young based in Sydney, Amsterdam and New York.
Prior to joining City Chic, he was vice president of financial reporting at Fortune500 fashion and lifestyle company, PVH Corp.
“James has been a trusted and highly capable member of the team as we’ve gone through a period of considerable change,” City Chic CEO and managing director Phil Ryan said.
“His deep understanding of our business, combined with his experience in senior finance roles within the industry both in Australia and abroad makes him as an invaluable asset.
“I look forward to continuing to work closely with James as we as we enter this next phase in our transformation.”
The appointment of Plummer as CFO follows the exit of Peter McClelland last year after three years in the role.
