Tech accessory brand Casetify has opened its first Australian store in Sydney CBD as the brand prepares to capitalise on the Australian market through bricks and mortar.
Casetify founder and CEO Wes Ng said this marks the next phase of its global expansion, with more physical stores on the cards.
“Our Casetify Studio concept is more than a store,” Ng said. “It’s a meeting point where customers can choose their accessories in a colourful and inspiring environment, and where we can also discover and connect with local artists.”
Located in Pitt Street Mall’s Sydney Arcade, Casetify brings its range of stylistic phone cases, alongside AirPod cases, phone straps, laptop sleeves, water bottles, and other tech and lifestyle accessories.
The CASETiFY Studio concept is a 360° Creative Hub. The colours and styles mimic its online presence, including its iconic monogram. As well as its usual collaborations with international artists, the store will also act as a meeting point for the brand to connect, support and promote local artists through its local collaboration program.
The launch in Sydney follows recent collaborations by Casetify, including Kpop groups BlackPink and BTS, Vegemite, Disney and Pixar.
The new Sydney store will also include the brand’s Re/Casetify program, which aims to reduce plastic waste through old phone cases. Customers can drop their old phone and AirPod cases of any brand in-store to receive a 15% off discount to be used on the same day for the purchase of a new product.
These old cases then enter the Re/Casetify program, where they are properly processed and the materials reused into new Casetify products.
Casetify said it has diverted 28,000kg of cases from landfills, which is roughly the length of 240 football fields.
The program allows Casetify to include up to 85% recycled plastic across its product range.
