After an extensive six-month user experience research project, Canterbury is launching an interactive platform for its popular teamwear range in 2020.
The site, called ‘Build the Team’, allows users to design their own garments.
It details Canterbury’s teamwear proposition and product offerings that range from school leavers to team sports kit, covering all popular sports.
Canterbury regional marketing manager Chloe Allan said the design brief for the website was to be “inclusive, really easy, helpful and empower customers to build their teams identity with Canterbury teamwear."
“It is important that when students or club teams want to design their kit that it is creative and uniquely their own. Our new platform will be a fun and easy experience to do that. A lot of research and development went into making this a seamless and rewarding interaction."
Colours, logos and designs are all customisable.
Phase one will see the program launch across both school leavers jerseys and all footy codes and phase two will offer a wide range of other sports such as athletics, netball, basketball, rowing, hockey, as well as multi-sport, off-field and corporate.
Garments can be personalised with simple embellishments to show clubs crest or logos or started from the ground up as fully sublimated or cut and sew project.
The new site launch will be supported by a strategic digital marketing media campaign, targeted directly at school leavers personas (students, year dean/teacher, principal and uniform shop assistant) as well as the footy club personas (coaches and club officials).
“We have worked hard on this site to make sure it makes creating unique teamwear a rewarding, creative and team-building experience. It’s another expression of our “commitment to the game,” Allan said.
