John Fluevog Shoes will exit the Australian market on Saturday, February 22.
This includes shutting down its online store, and closing its two stores in Sydney and Melbourne.
Fluevog is offering an additional 20 per cent off all merchandise in-store as well as online until February 22 to mark the closure.
The Australian stores and website will be open for business during regular hours until February 22.
The Canadian based shoe designer whose origins began in 1970 in Vancouver posted the news on its website to alert its Australian customers.
“It is with heavy hearts and souls that we announce we are permanently closing both our beloved Melbourne and Sydney stores as well as the Australian Fluevog website,” the company shared on its website.
“We were so excited to start this journey back in 2019, and have enjoyed every step of the way with some of our favourite Fluevogers and Fluevogologists in the world.
“Unfortunately things didn’t continue as planned, but if you are wearing one of the tens of thousands of pairs of Fluevogs sold through those stores, thank you for being a Fluevoger and we hope they bring you and others joy for years to come. We’ve loved meeting all of your unique souls.”
Australia and New Zealand customers will still be able to shop via its global website, with orders being shipped from Canada going forward. Fluevog accepts all major credit cards and conversion rates will be handled by the provided credit card companies. Applicable shipping rates will apply.
Fluevog also confirmed it will continue to honour its warranty policy, and any issues can be handled via their customer service channel email: service@fluevog.com.
All existing Australian gift cards, gift certificates and store credits will be converted to Canadian dollars and will be available for use in all Canadian stores and/or online.
