Canadian outdoor-wear brand Canada Goose has launched its first-ever pop-up store in Australia.
Located in Westfield Sydney CBD, the pop-up store opened on November 30. It marks the beginning of a strategic retail expansion in the region, according to Canada Goose.
This includes permanent flagship stores in both Melbourne and Sydney slated for early 2024 in partnership with Australian retail group Brand Collective.
The brand will also launch a local dedicated ecommerce site on December 11, selling the full range.
The pop-up store will offer a curated range of Canada Goose’s products for men, women and children, including parkas, lightweight jackets, rainwear, apparel, accessories and footwear. This includes its ‘Chilliwack Bomber’, originally designed to outfit pilots in the Arctic and the ‘Expedition Parka’, originally developed for scientists working in McMurdo Station, Antarctica.
The pop-up store will also feature pieces from the Canada Goose Art Collection. It is the largest collection of Inuit art in the world, with over 500 artworks on display in more than 60 stores globally.
Nujalia Quvianaqtuliaq, Mayoreak Ashoona, Ningiukulu Teevee, Saimaiyu Akesuk and the Kinngait Carvers from Kinngait, Canada are among the artists whose work are featured in the Sydney pop-up.
The new Westfield Sydney pop-up follows a global rollout of stores in the Northern Hemisphere, including in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Zurich and Miami.
Founded in 1957 in Toronto, Canada, the brand operates 55 stores globally, with plans to triple this by 2028 according to Forbes magazine.
The global retailer has a commitment to Canadian manufacturing; its core down-filled products are made in Canada.
