Australian luxury fashion brand Camilla has appointed Rebecca Mansergh as its permanent chief executive officer.
Mansergh has been with Camilla since 2017 as a channels director, and was shifted to acting CEO in late 2023 after former CEO Jane McNally decided to step down from the leading role.
Prior to Camilla, Mansergh was the general manager at Jac + Jack, was an owner and director at 6R Retail, and held leadership roles at Sportscraft and Strand (formerly Strandbags).
“I am honoured to be asked to lead the Camilla business as CEO,” Mansergh said. “The business is in an excellent position to continue our global expansion strategy and bring to life Camilla Franks’ vision to 'Colour the world'.
“My focus is to build on the work that I and the leadership team have undertaken this past 12 months, expanding our presence in the US and EMEA with a renewed focus on brand positioning and the continued advancements in our go-to-market operating model.”
Camilla reported that the new CEO appointment comes at a time of “significant momentum” for the business, with notable growth in key international markets.
The brand is reportedly focused on customer engagement across online and through stores. This includes 24 across Australia and five in the United States. The brand added that the US market is key for growth with more store openings planned this year.
The Europe market is also in the brand’s sights for global expansion.
“We remain passionate about providing exceptional experiences for our clients however they choose to engage with our brand,” Mansergh said.
“Camilla is in the unique position of becoming a global leader in print-driven design. Coupled with captivating storytelling, we are creating a powerful connection with our community. I am absolutely thrilled to be leading the charge as we embark on the next phase of growth for the brand.”
Founder and creative director Camilla Franks welcomed Mansergh to the leading role.
“She has been a part of the Camilla business and family for over seven years – six years as channels director and over a year as acting CEO.
“Rebecca has been instrumental in shaping the brand’s strategic direction. She brings a treasure trove of experience and rich insights to this role… along with a deep understanding of what's truly important: our brand, our vision, our artisans, experiences, the handcrafted creations that our beautiful customers know and love, and the utterly unique way that we bring each story to life through the magic of print.”
