Australian fashion brand Camilla has struck an exclusive global collaboration with Universal Pictures and Experiences, designing and launching a 85-piece collection based on the upcoming film launch of Wicked. 

Within the collaboration, founder and designer Camilla Franks created three prints based on the upcoming film. 

The brand’s artisans then created the 85-piece collection alongside Franks, designing styles such as bomber jackets, silk dresses and gowns, as well as printed shirts, shorts and tees, with the entire range covering women, men and children, as well as accessories. 

The range is set to launch globally on November 13 this year. 

“I am always drawn to travel, finding inspiration wherever I go,” Franks said. “Our journey to the vibrant world of Oz is a visual feast. 

“My in-house design team and I were granted unprecedented access to the Wicked archives, and we have captured something essentially powerful and beautiful.”

“I strongly believe in empowering young women, and this story of friendship, empowerment and loyalty is particularly resonant for me.” 

The three prints include a Defy Gravity print, a Totally OZmopolitan print and a Munchkinland print, each designed with details from the film franchise. 

“It’s thrillifying to see the magnificent world of Wicked come to life through Camilla’s incredible prints,” Universal Pictures and Experiences executive VP of global products design Stephanie Kraus said. 

“This collection features stunning attention to detail with fun easter eggs from the film for fans to discover in pieces for the whole family to wear.”

The Camilla brand was born in 2004 and has since scaled its distribution across 55 countries. The brand has over 20 boutiques across Australia, and four stores in the United States.
