Australian womenswear brand Camilla and Marc has opened a new boutique in Chadstone, Melbourne.
Designed in collaboration with Akin Atelier, this is the first boutique featuring the company's new brand identity, first unveiled last year. The new branding is carried throughout, from the façade to travertine monogram door handles and subtle brass monogramming on hangers.
Located on the ground floor, the store has both hard and soft finishes of travertine stone, curved racks that align with the store fit out, wood and marble detailing and amber carpet flooring.
All plinths and tables in the store, made by RE studio collective, are made from recycled timber, tiles, tyres, marble and bricks. Vintage chairs were also sourced and reupholstered for the store.
A collective of local artisans were hand-picked to co-design the site, including lighting designers, sculpturists and artists.
"The aim of this space was to create a world within Chadstone that women could really dive into and enjoy,” CEO Marc Freeman said. “Chadstone is the home for luxury in Melbourne and we’re very proud to finally have a home there.”
Creative director Camilla Freeman-Topper said Melbourne style is very conscious and considered.
“There's a sophisticated sensibility that we are constantly inspired by,” she said. Camilla and Marc represents thoughtful design, and a timeless wardrobe mindset that the Chadstone customer absolutely epitomises.”
The space will house the ready-to-wear, leather goods and accessories collections.
