Australian menswear label Calibre had continued to invest in bricks-and-mortar, with the unveiling of its new concept store in South Yarra.

The latest boutique in Chapel St follows the opening of Calibre’s Karrinyup and Bondi Junction boutiques, presenting the brand’s updated retail vision that will serve as a model for future stores.

Calibre GM Andrew Peterson confirmed the minimalist design was created by design firm SJB.

"We are thrilled to bring our new vision of retail experience to customers here in Melbourne," he said.

"With over 30 years in the fashion industry, it's essential to constantly adapt to the ever-changing landscape and have a physical presence which inspires our customers whilst reflecting our brand's premium collection."

SJB associate Luke Stokes said the store design is consistent with Calibre's brand positioning.

"The brief was an exercise in confinement and simplicity - and our design response pursued to celebrate crafted simplicity, in line with Calibre's vision to offer a more refined and tailored product offering."

Calibre was founded in 1989 by Gary Zecevic, Australia’s first male-only upmarket boutique.
