The Brisbane Fashion Festival is set to return in 2025, marking 20 years as Queensland’s largest fashion event.
This year’s festival will run from August 24 to 29, with the full rundown yet-to-be released. The Brisbane Economic Development Agency returns as principal partner for 2025.
Festival director Lindsay Bennett said planning is currently underway.
“Since the very first outfit graced the runway in 2006, it’s wonderful that the Fashion Festival has remained a relevant and much-loved event every year,” Bennett said.
“Fashion fans can anticipate another incredible week of fashion and spectacle, with an expanded program of on- and off-runway events, some thrilling destinations, and of course, a packed program featuring the brightest local, Australian, and next gen fashion talent.”
As the first runway event in the country to launch spring/summer collections annually, the Festival coincides with new-season collections landing in stores and online.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the Festival was a testament to the talent and entrepreneurial spirit of Brisbane’s local fashion industry.
“For 20 years, the Brisbane Fashion Festival has added to our fantastic lifestyle by creating more to see and do across our city,” Schrinner said.
“The iconic festival has unlocked opportunities for local designers to shine here and abroad and gives us a chance to celebrate Brisbane’s creativity and innovation.
“From up-and-coming designers to legacy brands, we can’t wait to see what the 20th anniversary of this homegrown event has in store.”
Applications for designers to be showcased in this year’s Brisbane Fashion Festival are now open.
The full 2025 program, including participating designers and retailers, will be released on May 29. Tickets go on sale from June 2.
