Hanes Brands Australasia is set to welcome a new president on February 08.

Tanya Deans was appointed to the role in December and succeeds David Bortolussi who is leaving the business to pursue another opportunity.

Deans enters her role with 25 years of experience with Hanes Australasia across a range of brand and product leadership roles.

She has most recently served as group GM of Bras N Things for almost two years, and previous to that, served as the GM of brands at Hanes for four years.

"I am honoured to have the opportunity to lead Hanes Australasia," Deans said of her appointment.

"We have an outstanding team, iconic brands and a deep commitment to sustainability.

"I look forward to working with our team and the HanesBrands global organisation as we build a truly consumer-centric company and deliver long-term growth," she said.

Deans will lead 4,400 team members across brands including Bonds, Champion, Bras N Things and Sheridan.

She will also be responsible for the company's eCommerce business and a network of more than 450 stores.

Speaking on the appointment, HanesBrands CEO Steve Bratspies said the business is excited to welcome Deans to the role.

"I am thrilled to name Tanya as the new president of our Australasia business.

"She is an outstanding people leader with deep experience building iconic brands.

"Tanya brings a clear vision for the future, and I look forward to working with her as we apply her experience and learnings to drive growth across our global organisation," he said.
