Surf fashion retailer Between the Flags has re-opened its concept store in the newly renovated Bondi Pavilion.

As part of a $48 million refurbishment of the pavilion, Between the Flags was also renovated witha new design concept inspired by the historic building as well as the surrounding Bondi culture.

The store, which has been part of the Bondi shopping centre for over 20 years, is now fitted out in a surf aesthetic.

The terracotta Mediterranean roof tiles of the Bondi Pavilion acted as a key inspiration for the store’s colour palette. This includes a mix of orange, greens, blues and the ‘lifesaver’ yellow and red colourways throughout the store.

“We have been a part of the Pavilion community since 2003 and are delighted to continue our long-term partnership,” MD Briony Oayda said. “The Pavilion is such an iconic space and a central part of the Bondi community.

“Our Bondi Pavilion store offers a reinvigorated retail experience for our customers with a new store layout and interactive retail touchpoints that offer a high impact and seamless customer experience.

“We will continue to stock our much-loved Bondi branded apparel that we are so well-known for as well as extend our offering to include homegrown premium brands including active wear label Bondi Active among others.”

The iconic Bondi Pavilion relaunched on September 21, with the new Between the Flags store open now.

The new store joins Between the Flags two other store locations, including its original store on Campbell Parade, Bondi Beach ‘The Beach House’ and ‘The Wharf’ in Darling Harbour.
