Australian sports label Bondi Active is preparing to launch ‘The Bergs Collection’, featuring the brand’s first-ever run-to-swim pieces that are inspired by the Icebergs Pool in Bondi.
The new active and swim apparel feature ripple design in blue and white colour palettes, including a high support two-piece and one-piece with a zip front design. It also includes gym towels and activewear crops and shorts.
The range is suitable for all fitness levels and differing workout intensities, and includes low to high supported crops along with quick drying workout tops and waterproof bottoms, with phone pockets and keyholders.
The new range also incorporates Bondi Active’s ‘Hold You Tight’ sports bra technology and ‘Hold My Keys’ full length leggings.
Bondi Active MD Briony Oayda said the new collection has been brewing in her to-do list for some time, and brings an aesthetic that the brand will incorporate more in the future.
“[This includes] an extended men’s range which we will continue to grow this year and the most functional and technically focused activewear we have done to date – aligning to our ethos of making activewear for truly active people,” Oayda said.
“I think the range has really come together to achieve the above while still having a fun, unique look consistent with our previous ranges.”
The Bergs Collection has also seen the brand expand its men’s range, with the introduction of utility shorts built for both the gym and the Aussie surf.
There is also a great mix of classic cotton tees, moisture-wicking tees and tanks that can be worn both on and off the shore.
The collection launches online on January 25.
Bondi Active said it will be releasing further collections in 2023 and is set to open its first concept store in Bondi in early 2023.
The brand was originally launched by Oayda's father in 1994, alongside Between the Flags. Oayda then relaunched the brand in 2021 following her pursuit of other endeavours after working on the brand in her youth.
