This weekend, Melbournians will have to bust out their detective skills to find a roaming BAPE x Havaianas truck.
To celebrate the launch of the new BAPE x Havaianas styles, the brands are inviting Melbournians to track down the truck to purchase the camo green style, which will be exclusively stocked on the truck.
Fitted out to look like a BAPE flagship store, the truck will also be stocked with limited-edition gifts with purchase.
Clues to the truck's whereabouts will be shared via the Havaianas Australia Instagram account.
The collaboration collection also includes two other colourways, pink and blue camo, which will be available on the Havaianas website.
Speaking on the partnership, Alpargatas (Havaianas parent company) CMO Fernanda Romano said the brand wants heighten the presence of Havaianas in the streetwear space.
"Havaianas and BAPE have a lot in common — they exist on the streets, they're versatile to wear, and they're so ubiquitous that anyone can recognise them instantly.
"Some people only associate closed shoes, especially sneakers, with the fashion we see on the streets, but we want to change that.
"Streetwear is underpinned by authenticity and comfort and this collab proves we can leverage those attributes to another level," she said.
The BAPE x Havaianas collaboration collection launches in Australia on August 07.
Each style will retail for $80 and the truck will roam the streets of Melbourne on August 07 and 08.
