British travel brand Antler will open its first Australian store in Sydney this November, in time for the Christmas peak season and summer holidays.

The new store will be located at Homebush DFO, an outlet mall in Sydney’s west, home to a range of local and international fashion brands such as Oroton, Prada, The North Face and Nike.

The latest store opening comes amid a stronger focus on international growth for the British brand, expanding beyond its online e-commerce portals.

Antler recently opened its first New York City store in July 2024, the first standalone store for the brand globally, adding to its other physical location in department store Selfridges in London.

“Opening a bricks-and-mortar store in Sydney is an important strategic initiative for Antler, part of a larger global expansion strategy within which Australia is a priority region,” Antler managing director Kirsty Glenne said.

“Homebush is an exciting premium retail destination that we wanted to test alongside other great brands such as Prada, Burberry, and Jimmy Choo.

“As our first physical retail proposition here, customers will be able to immerse in the full brand experience and Antler product quality in person.”

The Sydney store will sell Antler’s core ranges across travel luggage, bags and accessories, with luggage prices ranging from around $100 to $300 depending on size.

The new Sydney store also comes after Antler recorded a 24 per cent sales lift in the Australian market for the 2023 financial year, hitting £17 million (A$32.68 million). Australia is the brand’s second-largest international market.

Antler also manages a wholesale portfolio across physical and digital touchpoints, through partners such as Bloomingdales and Nordstrom in the United States, La Rinascente in Italy, KaDeWe in Germany, and Printemps in Paris.

Antler luggage is owned by ATR Holdings, an associated company of Strand in Australia.
