Quay Australia has a new majority shareholder - US based Elevate Brandpartners.
Quay Australia, a family-owned company, currently sells across 35 countries and 2000 retailers worldwide.
Elevate Brandpartners chief Myles McCormick said he saw a unique opportunity with the eyewear brand.

"They have reinvogirated the sunglass category by bringing an exceptionally creative and hands on approach to product design while ensuring the brand was price accessible for all consumers.
"We believe there is significant opportunity for the brand to reach the global fashion consumer.
"We look forward to applying our deep experience in high growth consumer busineses to the Quay Australia brand.“
Quay Australia launched in 2004 with just $165 start-up capital.
It is a joint venture between Allen, Linda and son Zak Hammond.
“It felt like the stars were aligned, when Elevate Brandpartners approached last year, to discuss a potential partnership," Linda said.
"We are entering into such a great future for the brand, and excited to see Quay grow from a small family business into a powerhouse in the fashion accessories world.”
The Quay Eyeware trading structure will remain the same throughout the Australian, US & UK entities.
