Global sports performance brand ASICS has opened the doors to its first flagship store in Queensland this week.
The store is situated in Queen Street Mall, the central shopping district of the Brisbane CBD. It feels the brands latest retail design alongside an extensive range of footwear and apparel products, including running shoes and rugby boots.
This includes Brisbane Bronco’s supporter and training ranges, a team that ASICS is a long-term partner with, along with a broad range of other licensed partner apparel including Cricket Australia and Wallabies supporter jerseys.
The Queen Street store concept is said to be inspired by the brand’s Japanese roots, through the addition of natural design features.
“It was an obvious decision to open a flagship store in the heart of Brisbane,” ASICS Oceania managing director Mark Brunton said.
“With Brisbane a rapidly growing city, so too is its community of sport-loving locals, which is undoubtedly set to continue to expand as we head towards Brisbane 32.
“The new space will feature the latest products from across the entire range. ASICS expert fit specialists will be on hand to help customers find the perfect pair of shoes whether they’re looking for a new running shoe, netball shoe, or footy boot.”
The new store will be the brand’s fifth location in Brisbane, joining two other ASICS stores located in Chermside and Carringdale, and complementing its two outlet stores at Brisbane Airport and Jindalee.
Overall, the brand has 12 full-price stores and 11 outlet stores located across Australia, alongside just over 50 stockist locations, including the likes of Pace Athletic and Pure Performance.
