Global sports performance brand ASICS has entered the tradie market in Australia through the launch of its very first Australian work boot range.
The new range of ASICS work boots are designed for general trades and light industry workers, in two styles – a mid-cut and a low-cut.
Both models in the ASICS working range are certified to Australian Standards (AS 2210.3:2019).
According to ASICS, the two styles are constructed from lightweight materials, with the mid-cut style also featuring waterproof layering.
Both styles also feature composite toe cap, and feature an oil-resistant rubber outsole.
All boots in the range are also anti-static and provide electrical hazard protection, as well.
“As a sports performance brand, with comfort and performance at the fore of our product innovations, and a long history of shoe development, we’re in a unique position to step into new footwear categories that leverage this heritage to produce quality products,” ASICS Oceania managing director Mark Brunton said.
“Boasting the comfort of a running shoe in the form of a work boot, we’re excited to offer something new to the working category – a product that elevates all-day comfort and performance, enhanced through a lightweight design.
“Our goal is to provide tradespeople with footwear that not only meets their safety needs but also ensures they remain comfortable throughout their demanding workdays.”
Both styles will be available in men’s sizes from 6 to 12, 13, 14 and 15. The low-cut will retail for $220 and the mid-cut will retail for $270.
The range will be sold exclusively through ASICS’ local website.
