APG & Co CEO and executive chairman Peter Halkett has announced he will step down from his role in May 2021, after five years with the business.
During his tenure, Halkett helped to transform the business which operates brands Saba, Sportscraft and Jag.
He prioritised investment and focused on digital integration across the business and helped to strengthen the brands in the mass premium market as well as its partnership with David Jones.
Halkett helped the business move away from discounting and ensured a focus on quality, smaller-format stores during his five-year career.
He has led the business through the COVID-19 crisis, announcing the very difficult decision to temporarily close all stores back in March.
"Our brands have endured and overcome many difficult situations throughout their history," Halkett said in March.
"We look to the future with optimism and know their long heritage will continue," he said.
APG & Co has commenced the search for a new CEO and will work with Halkett to ensure a smooth transition.
Halkett tendered his resignation from the position this month.
