Country Road has teamed up with New Zealand umbrella brand Blunt, to launch a limited-edition collaboration umbrella.
The black umbrella features a white Country Road logo and is based on Blunt's 'Metro' umbrella model.
The Metro design features a button-operated canopy, an in-built spinning mechanism to avoid damage when bumped, and Blunt's patented tips which open within pockets, preventing the user from unwittingly injuring passers-by or getting the tips caught on items of clothing.
In addition, the umbrella canopy is wind tunnel tested to a Category 1 Hurricane (115km/h).
Country Road design manager for women’s accessories and footwear Kirby Hanrahan said the business wanted to ensure the longevity of the collaboration.
"Just as we do at Country Road, the team at Blunt incorporates design principles into their products that guarantee excellent performance throughout their lifetime – and the thoughtful, innovative way in which the umbrellas are engineered means they really will last for years and years.
"Of course, Country Road and Blunt are both fashion and lifestyle brands, so for us it’s not just important for a product to perform to a high standard, we also want it to look good and to slot in seamlessly with other items in the wardrobe.
