Global fashion etailer Shein has signed an apparel deal with Australian designer brand Alice McCall.

The deal marks the first major return for Alice McCall since the company went into liquidation earlier this year, owing over $1 million in debts.

The Shein x Alice McCall collaboration is a capsule of over 30 pieces, including bralettes and mini dresses.

According to the company, the collection includes textiles source via Shein’s partnership with global circular technology company Queen of Raw.

"I have always resonated with the idea that my designs can become attainable to a wider audience, so when the opportunity to partner with Shein presented itself, it felt like I was able to turn this vision into reality," McCall said.

"A highlight for me was that, for the first time in my two decades as a designer, I have been able to work with rescued fabrics and have also used recycled polyester in this collection.”

A Shein spokesperson said the company said the collaboration with McCall was a strategic choice.

"We are always identifying ways to bring customers more of what they love,” they said. “Alice McCall's flirty, feminine collection, coupled with her use of preferred materials, such as rescued fabric, will hit the mark for many customers around the world.”

The collection will launch via Shein on Thursday, November 16 in Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Prices range from $15 for a bralette to $120 for a dress.
