Australian resort wear brand Albus Lumen is set to open at Australian Fashion Week 2024 on May 13, featuring its latest Resort ‘25 collection.
Albus Lumen was founded by Marina Afonina (pictured) in 2015 and operates an online store.
“Marina is one of our most talented designers and a visionary in the Australian fashion industry, and we’re thrilled to support her showcase of Albus Lumen for the opening runway of Australian Fashion Week,” IMG Fashion Events APAC VP and managing director Natalie Xenita said.
“This show marks Albus Lumen’s sixth presentation at Australian Fashion Week since 2016, and the brand’s international presence coupled with its cult following in Australia demonstrates Australian Fashion Week’s power to develop designer brands here and abroad.”
Afonina welcomed the return of Albus Lumen to AFW 2024.
“I am always creating a singular stylish universe – one that transcends fashion into the realms of art, design, culture and even publishing with our Issue 2 of 'Société Gazette' which will launch during Australian Fashion Week.
“The event is an essential time for the Australian fashion industry to come together and support each other. We look forward to showcasing the unique and formidable local model and creative talent, both established and emerging, in our opening runway show.”
AFW 2024 is presented by Pandora and will run from May 13 to 17 at Carriageworks in Sydney.
