Adidas has opened its largest store in the Pacific at the Adelaide Harbour Town Premium Outlet centre.
The sportswear brand has upgraded its presence in the centre to an 891sqm store, now employing 26 staff to run it.
Adidas Pacific brand senior director Shannon Morgan said that the brand wanted to demonstrate its commitment to its Adelaidean customers with its new store.
"We have a strong connection with our consumers in Adelaide and are committed to providing a premium retail shopping experience for them," she told reporters at The Advertiser.
"We had a fantastic opportunity to partner with Harbour Town to build what is now our largest outlet retail store in the country," she said.
According to Adelaide Harbour Town centre manager Tania Rucioch, sales in the Adidas outlet were up 21% in July compared to July 2019.
"Adidas designs activewear for and with athletes of all kinds in mind and is certainly one of our most popular brands.
"During the two week relocation and transition into the new store, we were inundated with calls from customers daily on when they could shop at adidas again.
"It came as no surprise that they hit their weekly target in the first two days of trade.
"The expansion of adidas cements HTPO Adelaide as the sporting retailer capital of South Australia," she said.
