eCommerce disruptor The Fifth has grown exponentially since its launch in 2014.

Founder Alex McBride will reveal some of his winning strategies at Ragtrader Live: Fashion Decoded. Get your tickets here.

The conference, which will present digital best-practice strategies, will take place in Melbourne on July 24.

Here are three things you should know about The 5th.

1. It taps into supply and demand

On The 5TH of every month, VIP subscribers get exclusive access to a range of limited-edition accessories. This includes product, deals and limited restocks. From the Australia to the USA, Italy to China, its products are designed, made and delivered globally. By limiting quantities, the brand drives buy-now, wear-now demand.

2. It uses Instagram as a sales driver

The brand uses Instagram and social media to create hype for each release, with its best-ever record $1 million in sales in one day. It went from zero to $10 million in annual turnover in a single year after launch.

3. It offers designer looks at decent prices

The 5th works directly with designers and suppliers, and sells direct to customer. Small leather goods start at $59, handmade Italian frames clock inat $85 and watches average at $169.
