SYDNEY: Retail conglomerate AMP Capital Shopping Centres (AMPCSC) has submitted plans to expand Warringah Mall to incorporate a new fashion hub.
The plans, which provide a "vision" for Warringah Mall through to 2021, include an enhancement to existing street facades, the addition of more than 1000 car space and an increase in retail space of up to 35,000 sqm.
As part of the master plan, funding group AMP Capital Investors also plan to submit a Development Application for an additional 8000 sqm, two level mall, which will have a mix of specialty retailers with a focus on fashion.
AMPCSC acting managing director Bryan Hynes said the improvements were needed to "increase the fashion offer to service the changing demographics of [Sydney's] northern beaches".
Existing tenants include David Jones, Myer, Big W and Target.
