SYDNEY: A friendship between The Corner Shop buyer Elise Pioch and Australian photographer Adrian Mesko has birthed a new accessories label.

Temps Des Reves' debut collection comprises 10 silk satin and silk chiffon scarves, each printed with one of Mesko's captured scenes. The label is a collaboration between Mesko and boutique Sydney fashion retailer, The Corner Shop.

“I just went and had a quick chat with Elise and showed her some ideas. She was really interested and then I went ahead and had some samples made, a logo designed in London,” Mesko said.

“All the images I'm printing are a collection of personal images that don't see the light of day very much, so it's nice to give them a new lease of life.”

The 110cm-square scarves have been manufactured overseas and will retail locally for $295. Featured images include a close crop of fur coats snapped by Mesko on London's Portobello Road, as well as a cityscape of Cuba's capital city, Havana.

“They are unisex really,” Mesko said. "The images I've chosen are based on the colours and patterns that will create something interesting around people's necks.”

The range will retail at The Corner Shop's Paddington and The Strand Arcade boutiques in Sydney, as well as Temps Des Reves' online store.

The Corner Shop is operated by Belinda Seper, who also runs the Belinda, The Frock Exchange and Marni boutiques. Other labels carried by The Corner Shop include Karla Spetic, Arnsdorf and Gary Bigeni.
