Surf giant Rip Curl is forging ahead with expansion plans, flagging four new stores scheduled to launch by year's end.

The company, which also owns multi-brand surf chain Ozmosis, currently operates four concept stores in Australia, at Narrabeen, Jindabyne and Sydney Domestic Airport in New South Wales,  and one in Ballarat, Victoria.

The brand will now open a fifth Rip Curl store in August, also at Sydney airport, with three new stores for Ozmosis also confirmed for launch prior to November 2012.

Two of these new stores will be located in Canberra, ACT, with another in Broadmeadows Melbourne.

As previously reported on ragtrader.com.au, Rip Curl subsidiary Ozmosis recently appointed a new head to lead the business ahead of retail expansion.

Ozmosis general manager Zeni Krasniqi officially stepped into the role on June 1.

The national surf retailer, currently operates 19 stores in Victoria and one store in New South Wales.
