MELBOURNE: Peter Alexander has won the Crown Retailer of the Year Award, in its first year of trading in the complex.
The Melbourne-based pyjama brand beat a number of other retailers including Mimco, G-Star Raw, Zu Shoes, Saba, Marcs and Rhodes and Beckett for the title.
Held at Crown Metropol yesterday, the awards acknowledge retail excellence in the centre. Judging criteria includes store presentation, customer service, business attitude, marketing and promotional activities. Sales performance is also taken into consideration.
It is the third year the major casino and retail complex has held the awards, with the previous winners Nine West and Sunglass Hut.
The centre is also home to international brands including Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Prada and Versace. It has reported that more luxury labels will open stores in the centre in the new year.
