PERTH: New footwear label in.u has opened its first Australian boutique ahead of a targeted local retail and wholesale expansion.
The women's shoe brand has set up shop in Subiaco, Perth, bolstering its October 2010 retail debut in Singapore's Robinsons department store. The 50-square metre Perth boutique houses in.u's first collection, spring/summer 2010/11.
in.u director Matthew Steptoe revealed the brand also recently appointed a wholesale agent for the Australian and New Zealand markets, and is in negotiations with a US-based online retailer.
“Plans are in place to open a second outlet within the next six months and eventually to have a presence in every capital city in Australia. The launch of the second outlet depends entirely on securing an appropriate site,” Steptoe said.
in.u's spring/summer collection incorporates sandals, flats and heels with styles retailing from $129 to $189. Materials in the range include pony hair, snakeskin and leather and the product is manufactured in China.
in.u is managed locally by Upfront Shoes.
