Mim Precious, a range of semi-precious jewellery, will make its debut in stores in August 2011. The range will contain 28 designs including rings, bracelets and necklaces, alongside 15 charms.

Mimco creative director Cathryn Wills said the range was born from the recognition that Mimco customers are keen to wear both costume and fine jewellery.
“It made sense that in our 15th year we should develop a new range that celebrates our unique aesthetic, and demonstrates our desire to give our ever evolving customer what she wants – both costume, occasion based jewellery pieces and fine, collectable every day pieces that she can gift to others or herself,” Wills said.

Mim Precious will retail in selected Mimco boutiques internationally, as well as through David Jones and via Mimco's e-store.
The collection is made in China and will retail from $39.95 to $299.

In addition to sterling silver and sterling silver plated 14 carat gold, materials in the collection include marcasite stones, semi precious stones and coloured enamel. Wills confirmed Mimco will grow the Mim Precious range in coming seasons.

“The range is designed to be collectable,” Wills said.

Mimco was founded in Melbourne in 1996 by Amanda Briskin and acquired by Gresham Private Equity in 2007. Since its debut, the label has added shoes, hair accessories and eyewear to its product categories. Today Mimco has stores in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Ireland and Singapore.
