A company with ties to some of the nation’s biggest sporting stars has been placed into liquidation.
Liquidators have been appointed to corporate leisurewear and merchandise manufacturer JLM Design Group, with the winding up pursuant to an order from the Supreme Court of Queensland.
JLM Design manufactures from design concept through to retail product for its clothing labels Gloves Off Australia and Allan Langer Clothing.
Details on the liquidation were scarce at the time of press, but the firm handling the liquidation, Rodgers Reidy Chartered Accountants, confirmed investigations were ongoing.
Liquidator David Hambleton told Ragtrader he had yet to interview the director at time of press, with books and records of the company still being assembled to identify potential creditors.
NRL star Allan Langer is a director of Allan Langer Clothing, while cricket icon Ian Healy is a director of Gloves Off Australia.
The company has serviced clients ranging from Channel 9 and Fosters Group to Coca Cola and Good Year.
