MELBOURNE: British streetwear label Henleys is set to amp up its Australasian presence by opening a flagship store in Melbourne.

The store, the brand's first on Australian soil, will help complement the label's existing wholesale stockist base which currently includes department store Myer and chain stores Urban Equipment, Glue and Meccano.

The store, on the ground floor of Melbourne Central, will open its doors in early April.

Henleys Australia national sales manager Jon Isdale said the flagship site would stock the full range of Henleys stock including its urban range of T-shirts, hoodies, denim jeans, activewear and caps.

"Henleys has become such an iconic label in Australia for casual streetwear so establishing a flagship store in Melbourne was an obvious step for the brand," Isdale said.

Established in 1996, the label's international stockist base includes Selfridges, Westworld, Cult, Nordstrum's and Bank.
