Cooper Street Clothing has been sold to investment company Carrington Licensing Pty Ltd.

The highly successful high street brand has around 350 national accounts, as well as distribution through major national department stores.

Carrington Licensing has engaged fashion and design house Kid Crew Express (KCX) to design, market, sell and supply Cooper Street to the national and international market.

KCX has been charged with rejuvinating the brand, having had over 25 years experience in supply fast fashion to major Australian retailers and more recently, to Marks & Spencer in the UK.

Founder Craig Cooper has been retained as an ambassador and key member of the brand. KCX will commence supplying stock to all Cooper Street retail stockists from April 2012, with all current orders to March 31 still under the charge of Cooper Street’s currnet team.

The financial value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
