Tiffany's engages new publicity group
SYDNEY: Luxury jewellery brand Tiffany & Co has denied its intends ramping up its Australian presence despite appointing a Sydney-based public relations firm.
The US-headquartered brand has appointed Paddington-based PR firm NAC-Group to manage its Australian account alongside Tiffany's PR and marketing assistant manager Michaela Langley.
NAC's other clients include Collette Dinnigan, Camper, Adidas, Charlie Brown, Pleasure State and Farage.
Tiffany & Co Australian managing director Glen Schlehuber said the appointment had come about as a result of an internal review rather than as part of any broader plans to ramp up its Australian presence.
"We just decided it would create a nice balance to have both internal and external representation."
Schlehuber said he was unable to comment on whether the brand intended rolling out more stores in this market.
Tiffany's currently operates five stores across Australia with one each in Melbourne, Brisbane and on the Gold Coast and two in Sydney.
