Queensland-based fashion retailer Urbbana is set to open its third store at Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast.
The high-end brand will be positioned in the shopping centre’s luxury precinct – making it the only independently owned Australian label in the district.
The Pacific Fair Store will join Urbbana's two other Queensland stores, based in Brisbane and Hamilton.
Urbbana director Sam Abi said the business had to overcome the challenges of COVID to make the store happen.
"We’re very excited to introduce our unique brand to the Gold Coast market – but it wasn’t an easy road.
"Like many other retailers, Urbbana did have some dark days during the COVID-19 pandemic.
"Fortunately, this pressure put us in a position to innovate and make changes to the way we interact with shoppers in a post-COVID climate," he said.
Key changes made under the COVID-pressure centre around the combination of modern technological advances and traditional quality service, national manager Kaan Tavli explained.
"An exciting project we’ve been working on is the development of a 3D configuration tool that allows customers to design their perfect shoes, whilst actually feeling different types of leather in store – including exotic leather like snakeskin, alligator and ostrich," he said.
Urbbana is set to open its Gold Coast store by November.
