Sydney CBD fashion boom

SYDNEY: Central Sydney is set for more fashion retail options, with the MidCity shopping precinct due to open on March 23.

Stage one of the 50 store centre will see around 15 retailers open. CBD flagships for Witchery, G-Star, Forever New and General Pants will feature, along with stores for Ojay, Peter Alexander, Surf Dive & Ski, Lorna Jane, Politix and Diva.

The Lend Lease project links Pitt Street mall and George Street with a pedestrian thoroughfare. It will have a 50 metre street frontage and a five storey entrance feature. Light filled space, maximised sight lines and seamless boundaries are key features.

Stage two is due to open in June, however the date has not been set.
