Brisbane Fashion Festival organisers have unveiled the official program for 2022, with the event scheduled to take place from August 22 to 26.
This year’s program features a line-up of more than 50 designers, presenting in excess of 400 looks for the spring/summer season.
Festival director Lindsay Bennett said the event would feature a mix of local and national designer brands.
“We are proud to release our program for Brisbane Fashion Festival 2022,” Bennett said.
“With a packed five-day program featuring the best in local and national fashion design, both on and off the runway, this year’s Festival promises exciting events and plenty of new-season style inspiration for fashion fans; as well as a world-class platform to support our fashion industry, and celebrate our city of Brisbane.”
The Brisbane Fashion Festival runway program will kick off with the Treasury Brisbane Fashion Show; featuring new season styles from Ginger & Smart, Carla Zampatti, Bianca Spender, sass & bide, Calibre, Oroton, Paul Hunt, Samantha Ogilvie, Camargue, Morrison, Gail Sorronda and ShiloLydia.
The launch showcase will be followed by the Hancock Prospecting Next Gen Group Show.
The event will feature looks from Mitch Graham Suit Studio, TAFE Queensland Brisbane, KG BOLD, Whitehouse Institute of Design, Bella Lusso, QUT Fashion, Teddy McRitchie Design, Lightning Boy, Joteo, YLD Design and Practice Studio. We are also proud this year to celebrate First Nations fashion and creativity, opening the show with designs by MYRRDAH and JARAWEE.
The third major show will bring together a selection of Queensland designers and retailers, including Calexico + Calexico Man, Gina Kim, PALMA MARTÎN, URBBANA, Sonia Stradiotto Couture, Naudic, White Label Noba, MORENO MARCOS, Sacha Drake, Girl and the Sun, Astille, and Wil Valor.
Brisbane Fashion Festival will also feature a range of activations, including a high tea showcase and a Queen Street Mall shopping event.
