Australian apparel brand Sambag has announced it will be shutting down operations over the coming months.
In a statement to customers, Sambag founder and creative director Sam Wagner thanked those who had been loyal to the brand over the past 22 years.
"Sambag has been an enormous part of my life for 22 years. It has been a rollercoaster - ups and downs, successes and failures, achievements and overcoming hurdles - and I have truly loved every minute of it.
"Now I must farewell a chapter in my life - one that has shaped me as a person - and a company, staff and brand that I love so dearly.
"Thank you for the loyalty support, and love you have had for Sambag over the years."
She also stated that she was proud to have set up both a strong international and online business during her years in operation.
No comment was made around the exact date for final store closures or the exact reason behind the decision.
The brand currently operates two stores in NSW and one in Queensland.
Wagner opened her first store in 2005 in the Sydney suburb of Woollahra.
