Roxy Australia has welcomed a new eco-conscious collection to stores.

The brand, which has cracked three decades in business since being founded by founded by Torquay locals Alan Green and John Law in 1990, is now turning its attention to endangered corals.

The low-impact collection aims to bring awareness to the jeopardised beauty of underwater flora, through a partnership with London fashion house Liberty Fabrics.

In alignment with Roxy’s efforts for cleaner fashion, the Liberty Fabrics collection features a combination of recycled fabrics for swim, organic cottons for apparel, sustainable fabrication techniques for wetsuits and the use of natural, non-chemical materials.

The range features a print inspired by oceanic vegetation and has been designed to support extended time in the water, with extreme resistance to sunscreen and oils.

Roxy global creative director and design director Stephanie Micci said the team considered three key factors when designing the collection.

"Liberty Fabrics’ archival print featured in this collection captured the vibrant underwater world that is so close to Roxy’s heart.

"When designing this capsule, we thought about how we could best pay homage to the spirit of Liberty Fabrics’ print, as well as the values and technical capabilities of Roxy.

"The result is a collection of feminine silhouettes that were consciously created and designed to perform," she said.

The collection spans bikinis, long sleeve rash vests, one pieces and wetsuits.

It is available online and in select stores nationwide.

The Roxy x Liberty Fabrics collection retails from $55.99 to $399.99.
