Michael Hill has donated $100,000 to support those who have been impacted by the floods in South-East Queensland and New South Wales.

The jewellery retailer's Lismore and Queen Street stores are closed until further notice due to the severe weather event.

"The Michael Hill team has been thinking of all those affected by the recent floods, many of whom make up our close communities in South-East Queensland and New South Wales," the business said in a statement.

"While this is an incredibly tough time for so many, what makes the Australian community great is the willingness to pitch in and help friends and neighbours in times of need.

"Just like Australia has seen before, people will come together to assist in the recovery efforts however they can.

"Stay safe and look after one another, we’re in this together," Michael Hill said.

The retailer donated $100,000 from the sales made over the weekend that has just passed.
